Gwen Caldwell
Gwen Caldwell has enjoyed sharing stories with groups of all ages
at schools, churches, bookstores, conferences, dinner parties,
and retreats throughout the Southwest. Ten years ago Gwen founded
the Richardson/Plano Storytelling Guild. She has also been the
contact person for the Network of Biblical Storytellers in the
Dallas area. In this latter context she was featured at the National
Conference of Advancing Churches in Missions Commitment and has
been a participant for several years in the School for Sacred
Storytelling. Gwen has taught in both public and private schools
as well as an inner-city literacy program. These experiences have
prepared her to create and teach meaningful storytelling workshops
to a variety of groups. As an educator, Gwen Caldwell is also
aware of the tremendous potential stories hold for awakening the
imagination, developing problem solving skills, and fostering
creativity.

Maryanne Clarke
"There is little that can nurture the soul more than
a good story told by a great storyteller." These words
sum up the lure of storytelling for Maryann, who has been a
professional storylistener and sometime storyteller since 1996.
She tells to adult audiences and typically draws from the rich
mine of folklore. Storytelling venues have included Old City
Park at their July Fourth and Christmas Candlelight celebrations,
the Bath House Cultural Center in Dallas, and guild meetings
open to the public at Barnes & Noble, among others. Maryann
is available to tell stories to adults at club meetings and
parties and can be reached at mclarke0804@comcast.net.
